Thread: smitties costa cruise...a dilema

as some of you know i'm booked on the costa romantica on the 3rd of november out of rome. the dilema is they've totally changed the route.
we were going to catania..scily, valleta...malta, garbes...tunisia, tripoli....lybia, tunis...tunisia, a day cruising and back to rome.
just got an e-mail from my T.A. saying that the itinery has changed to rome, catania, rhodes....greece marmaris...turkey athens....greece an extra cruising day and then back to rome.
while all these places are nice in themselves , they are no way in any shape or form like the cruise i booked and paid for. any sugestions?

You're outside of penalties.

You can choose to keep the booking or cancel.

I guess you can cry and bang your head against the
wall too, although that would hurt.

yep. reggie do you think there's any chance i can get something out of them for mucking us around?

You, and or, your TA should raise a stink about it. All they can do is say what I said and tough luck or they may offer some compensation. All you can do is give it a try.

Dave, like Reggie said, you can cancel the booking since Costa changed the itinerary to one that's not for you.
That's one of the disadvantages of booking so far in advance. It does not always happen, but a change in itinerary or ship is a possibility prior to cruise date.

i don't mind a change of ship or a change of port, but this is a change of cruise!!!!!

Smitty, start looking for something else if the new one doesn't agree with you. If you don't find something else, then this one is meant to be.

trouble is i know ALL these places, i'm off to greece in june and good as they are november is not the month to see them.

Hey Smitty, pick a Costa cruise that goes to Dubai.
