Costa Cruises has ruled out basing a ship in the UK, saying it would be difficult to break into the competitive ex-UK market.

The Carnival-owned line has no round-trip UK cruises in its 2009 brochure, released last week, and believes its pioneering approach to new cruise destinations will continue to fuel growth in its UK business.
