From e-Cruise World - Cruise Australia. 2006
Costa Cruises has been named one of the world’s top 10 cruise lines – the only European line to make the list.
US readers of the world’s leading international travel magazine, Condé Nast Traveler, have ranked Costa Cruises as one of the best 10 cruise lines in the world (large ships category) for 2006.
First presented in 1988, Condé Nast’s Reader’s Choice Awards are considered among the most prestigious in the travel industry.
Europe’s largest and fastest growing cruise line, Costa boasts 11 ships with four under construction and expects to carry one million passengers a year in 2007. The line offers cruises with an Italian flair in the Mediterranean, northern Europe, the Caribbean, South America, Middle East, and Asia.
Costa’s latest and biggest liner yet, the massive 3780-passenger Costa Concordia, was launched in July this year boasting the biggest spa sanctuary at sea. Twin sister, Costa Serena, will be launched in May, 2007.
Onboard all Costa ships, passengers of all ages can enjoy elaborate décor, lively entertainment, Italian cooking classes, poolside dance lessons, first-class wellbeing centers, extensive children’s facilities, Italian staff passionate about service and Costa’s renowned ‘magnifico’ cuisine.
The most popular Costa itinerary for Australians is the line’s seven-night cruise from Venice to the Greek Islands including Santorini, Mykonos and Rhodes as well as visits to Olympia and Dubrovnik. These cruises next year are available from A$1380* per person, twin share.
*Fares are cruise only, per person based on complete twin accommodation. Fares include all main meals and onboard entertainment, mandatory government taxes, gratuities and ship insurance. Prices are subject to availability and conditions apply.
