On July 19, Costa Cruises announced that they had booked their one millionth passenger for 2007, an Italian family. The family will be a part of special celebrations in October.

I'm sure our new Costa guide, MD11F, will be watching for details on those celebrations!

Sorry guys, for some reason, the story cannot be found now.

I hear Costa will only have ONE ship sailing from Florida to the Caribbean in the 2008-2009 season. I would imagine that will be the Lirica.

So much for ramping up their US operations....

That's right, the Costa Mediterranea will not be joining the Costa Fortuna as previously announced in Ft Lauderdale, FL for the 2008-2009 Caribbean season. Costa will announce at a later date where the Mediterranea will be positioned. The Winter 2007-2008 Caribbean season ships will be as scheduled.

The Lirica belongs to MSC Cruises, Sheila.
