Click the link for a short video from Republica TV of the Costa Concordia lying on the ocean floor partially submerged on her Starboard(right) side:

This is horrible news it's the top story here as there are some British people on board.

There has been much talk about Titanic, but from what I have heard it sounds more like Britannic where the captain tried to run for port and ended up making things worse.

This photo I just found really shows how major the damage on the hull is!

My thoughts are with the people who may still be trapped aboard.

The small community that has been receiving and sheltering survivors has a population smaller than that of the ship.

She is one of my favorite cruise ships and it do sad

What happen forward? The wreck remain there or is some mode for getting the shop up and mend? Wish, she no remain there for scrap metal collecters or for burglars.
Sad, but I think that the ship remain there because no mode for getting the ship up. Is it wrong think?

Do we know - Were there any CLF members onboard at the time?

This is a terrible thing to happen, on what should have been a pleasant vacation.

I remember Costa Concordia docked at Funchal pier. According to the ports' list, it was not due to visit our island any time soon, though.

Luckily she was close to shore and it was possible to get everyone off. It is going to be an interesting investigation.
