My wife and I are going on an 11 day cruise on the Costa Allegra. There has been very little mention of this cruise in North America. I am assuming it's been mostly sold to Europeans. The onboard currency is in Euros. This a relatively small ship in this day and age. Here are the following statistics I've gleaned doing a bit of web searching:
    Originally built: 1970
    1st refit: 1992
    2nd refit: 2001
    Passenger Capacity 820
    Gross Tonnage 28,430
    Length 616' (187.69m)
    Beam 84' (25.76m)
    Draft 24'
    Decks 8
    Cruising Speed 21.5 knots
    Crew members 400
    Passenger Cabins 410

Rumor has it that this ship is to be sold after the winter Caribbean season. This is our 5th cruise so far. We would appreciate hearing from anybody who has been on this specific ship - the Allegra - and also anybody who will be aboard on the dates we are sailing.
