I did not read the whole article, that crap bugs me too much to get through it all...

However without saying anything negative, this is why if the lady wants to go to bed before I, and I want to stay out and do whatever -- she gets walked back to the room, by myself.

I know not everyone has that option, but I do think woman (men too) sailing along or out alone where they are vulnerable should not be afraid to approach a crew member and request an escort to their room. They have Security on a ship, take advantage - you paid for their service too...

I am sorry to this lady and hope nothing like this happens to someone I know...

Okay -- so I read the rest of the article and seems like there was nothing she really could have done... At least this incident will open the eyes of others that no one can be trusted.

So I'm wondering if he brought her into the dining room after all the diners left for the night. Did he drug her drink?

This brings up the caveat that you need to be careful when it comes to strangers. Don't go anywhere non-public until you know someone (and even then things can happen). I'm guessing that there is a no fraterization rule for crew members when it comes to passengers. If not, I wouldn't be surprised if one gets established as a result of this arrest.

I think all cruise lines already have this rule in place but it does get broken.

All I have to say about this quote is......she should have bit down!!
