    Combining Vacations

I am excited to say my wife and I booked a 13 day cruise tour with Princess on the Coral and we are starting our adventure in Alaska. We are doing 6 days on land, then catching the 7 day southbond cruise from Whittier to Vancouver and then taking a motorcoach from vancouver to Seattle and taking another 8 day 'land' tour on Collette Vacations down to San Francisco. In total including an extra day in Anchorage and in San Francisco it is 23 days. We have never before tried to combine 2 vacations into one using different vacation packages but this just seemed perfect.

    Has anyone done this before?

Well we once flew to Beijing spent a week there seeing the sights , the Great Wall , Forbidden City etc then picked up a 17 day Diamond Princess Cruise around Japan , Korea ,Russia then across the Pacific to Alaska. Did a 7 day Alaska cruise from Whittier to Vancouver then spent a week in Vancouver total vacation 5 weeks. Talk about an endless vacation.

We took a TA combined with a 4 day vacation in London and a 3 day vacation on the other end in NYC. Three weeks of fantastic experiences. We are thinking about doing it again since it is so much better than flying to and from Europe.
