To all of you visiting Costa Rica, I was there a year ago, I booked with the pals on www.limontours.com it was a marvelous experience. Take a time to visit them, and choose from the variety of tours they have, definitely cheaper than on board.

enjoy your cruise!

Hello all!

For Port Limon, I used limontours.com they offer shore excursions for better price than on the cruises also and excellent service. Ask for Alex or Rachel, great pals there. There email is sales@limontours.com tortuguero canals is a very good option there. Also do a canopy is a good option.

Greetings from Mexico City.

Hi Terry! I read on this board now and again. Thought I'd give you some company on this roll call.

I'm a bit worried about all the crime it seems keeps happening in Costa Rica. I'm sure these are isolated cruises but I'm already thinking about what I must leave in the cabin before venturing off the ship in this port.

I guess it is good to think this way about the whole trip but I am one of those people who seem to feel "safe" on a cruise.

Talk to you later

My Signature Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the plan of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body totally worn out, screaming "WOOHOO what a ride!"

Nice to see you here Tracey! The story out of Costa Rica was really fascinating - especially about Carnival pulling out of Puerto Limon for a couple of cruises. Really put the extra bite on the government to step-up security in and around Limon. I know that CR really wants Limon to work as a port so security will be important and tour operators will have to think twice about what areas they drive through. See you soon!
