Best way i can descrbe it is to show the location on Google map Aerial photo - thn you can zoom out. Look here:
Finally got word on the specifics for Barcelona. If anyone is interested ... we'll dock at a section of the pier called "Moll Adossat". If your map doesn't indicate anything like that, the street that provides orientation is called "Carretera de Miramar". There's also a park south of that street called "Jardins Mossen Costa Illobera".
From there, head SE out the length of the shore-based pier called "Moll de Ponent", over a draw bridge for the ferries, and out onto the "peninsular" pier. I've seen maps (see Google version, below) that call the area "Moll Oriental" instead of "Moll Addossat".
OK -- big brain damage question for this cruise...
We're being picked up by "extended family" in Casablanca. The dock area looks straightforward enough -- it isn't all that big -- but where we'll dock is quite a ways from the shore. Has anyone ever visited Casablanca's docks, and do you have any idea where a person would get picked up by someone shoreside with auto transportation in mind? We'd like to let them know the lay of the land (they live up in Rabat) beforehand, and not leave them to figure it out on their end if that can be avoided.
Hi Chris it is about time you and Charlene showed up to the party.I too need a tutorial about geocaching sp??.Pat and I will be staying in the fv next to you.You also may wish to check out the thread on Celebrity on cc about the new wine packages.
we look forward to seeing you on the cruise only 59days until we fly.
Tom(andPat)
If you want to join me for a couple along the way, I have them located at several of our stops. We'll certainly have time on the way back from Ponta Delgada for as much conversation about it as you can handle!
I don't venture to CC, but do tell -- what about the new wine packages? Can I find these on the Celebrity site anywhere? I looked at latest offerings the Bon Voyage packages, and didn't see anything that got my juices flowing. Or do you mean something else?
Also -- I'm sure that Bob has posted the full web page for this cruise, but I don't see a link to it in Garry's sig line. Can someone point me to it?
Chris, here's the link to Bob's website: Home You have quite a bit of reading to catch up on!
Garry
Geez.. no kidding. Even our November '09 on Equinox has something like 14 pages already!
Hmmm... come to think of it... did you guys give up your aft C1/C2 (whichever it was)? I pulled an SV until one of the others became available, but I don't recall how Lorrie finally settled that. Guess I'd better call her.
Chris ,just as you wish cc to you (remembering that I am no a techie like you ) Tom

I was quite happy also because you can save money. We did the Captain's Package and had some great wine's.
Basically how it works is you pick from 6 different packages and they have designated wines for each and the Sommelier will also help pick, as that is what we did is ask for his opinion on pairing wine with our meals. There is a list for each package but the Captain's package you could pick from all the wine. There was a couple times the wine was out and our Sommelier could pick others not on the list. If i remember in the captain's pack. we had about 40 + wines to chose from.
They are stationed around the ship when you get on and they will tell you how it works. You can then buy it at the table. I do believe you can have the wine not only in the dining room but in the Speciality rest. Not sure about stateroom didn't ask.
Here's the package's as said in our Celebrity Today:

I'll Try
The Captain's package was from CA Chardonnay's to red Bordeaux form France. We had Camelot which is from Kendal Jackson, Leap Frog, Murhpy Goode, Foley Pinot Noir which we really liked to and couple otyhers.
Maitre'd package: Is influenced by CA wine with some Bordeaux, burgundy and Champange.
Sommelier package: Looking for a value. I do belive these are mostly international.
Red Avant-Garde Package. This is a red wine package form Cab to pinot noir.
Destination Europe package: Selectons form Spain, Italy, France nad Germany.
CA Terroir package: Wines from CA such as Murhpy Goode, Byron, Kinton, Carmel Road, Cambria, Sequioa Grove, Estancia +
Hope this helps as i'm going off the Celebrity Today but i think it gives you a general idea.
I have not seen it online yet.

Cross-post much appreciated, Tom. I figure at about $42.50 a bottle, Foley pinot is looking pretty good. I wonder if you just get to pick any 7 at some point during the trip, or if it's some sort of a "here's the package of 7, let us know when you want each one" kind of deal. Between us, we could go through 7 of the Foley alone in 14 nights with no problem.
I'm wondering what "German" they throw into the mix. If it's the Deinhard, they're welcome to keep that one. That's the sort of German wine that puts the average person off German wines to begin with!
As we are "neighbors" on this one, we'll have to share a few over the balcony, too. Ever since they starting screwing around with liquids in 2006, my usual carry-on bag full of wine isn't possible, and the added weight, even when split among suitcases, can be a killer.
But I've been looking at the Useless Air (er... USAir) policy on baggage, and it's a much better deal than United's. What matters are their weight limits... Unlike United that starts to hurt you big time ($125 per bag!) at one ounce over 50#, I can take up to a 70# bag on USAir for about half that -- $65. Rather than putting a bit of wine in each suitcase, and running them all up over 50# (very easy to do, as experience has proved in the past), I figure I'll have one 69.99# suitcase and it'll have whatever wine we bring in it.
I still wish there was SOME way of prescreening liquids to keep the TSA happy, but they don't return calls and don't answer emails. No, I'm not surprised. Then again, El Al still finds a way to avoid this silliness.
