Anyone besides us on these boards going on this cruise? I haven't seen any other posts on this itinerary, either. Have we picked the 2 most unpopular cruises there are?

How are you doing? It's been a long time and I hope that all is well with you in Louisiana. I'll be getting off Constellation as you get on and then picking up Century for a short five nighter out of Miami before heading home. There are a lot of Owls going and Helen will be joining me for the second part on Century. It's difficult for her to take too much more time off at the moment.

Can you send me a PM with your email address on it as I lost it with a computer issue I had.

Looks like we are not going on this cruise afterall! Turns out, Justin can't go off of work during this cruise!

Not to fret, though, as we were able to book the Infinity March 25 TransCanal 14 day cruise for about the same price with a MAJOR plus--FOV 8166. The kids are so excited about the balcony size and so are we-it will give a great view for going thru the locks!

If you were able to get 8166 and 14 nts on Infinity for the same price, what are the REST of us doing on Constellation the week before?!? You've made a great choice there. It remains one of our very favorite cruises (we did Infinity San Diego -> Fort Lauderdale in July 2003 and LOVED it!). You're right about the aft view in the locks. We had 8160 on that cruise, just down the hall. After the experience of the early morning approach, we moved back to our cabin for the remaining locks.

If you plan to be forward on Deck 12 for the entrance, you'd best plan to be up long before the sun rises. For our cruise, the rail was starting to pack up at around 5:30! Note, however, that they typically open up the deck below (Deck 9?) as well for the event. That's normally a crew-only location.
