Have a good one. You can tell us if anything new is happening on the "lower west coast" when you get back. Haven't cruised there since we made our first Panama run.

Watch out for the guides in the blue shirts at the pier in Acapulco. They can be a real pain.

Hey what happened to you all? Isn't there any interest in the Baltic cruise?

I think it's just me on this one! We're down in Playa del Carmen trying to get warm for a week. Will be back on Monday.

Meanwhile -- dropped you a line above and hoped to hear from you when you got back from your previous cruise. Baltic is still a go. Spent too much time planning this jaunt south to take too much more time sorting all of the shorex for the Baltics, though. Will get back to it in earnest when we return. Meanwhile, it's fun in the sun (except the 1st day, when it poured when we arrived in Cozumel). We're staying up on the north end of La Quinta, and it's pretty quiet up here, and a bit more upscale than down "on the strip". GREAT little 20 room hotel at 5th and 38th called Casa Ticul. I can even get a half decent wi-fi connection, which is how I happen to be connecting at the moment.

    More when we get back.

    Hey Chris,

It's been freezing cold here too.

We did have a great cruise on the Radiance and had some good shore excursions with fellow online cruisers.

I am booked with SPB tours for the active tours for 2 days in St. Petersburg. Also, SPB in Berlin. Which is going to be a awful 3 hour drive each way, but I thought we might never get back to Germany and to go for it this time around. Helsinki we are doing the Paulos Tours of city and Porvoo. Since we are arriving 2 days early in Amsterdam and so many things I want to see and do, but I can't plan anything or get online tickets for anything because we are on a air, hotel, cruise package and and they haven't booked the air yet. I hope they do it soon. We are booked for Randy Roy's Red light tour the night before we leave on the cruise. This is an American that has started this walking tour and is quite popular. I think we will probably be on our own for Copenhagen, Stockholm and Tallin.

I will look forward to hearing your view and ideas when you get home.

We have been many times to the Riviera Maya area outside of Cancun, since it is so reasonable from Dallas. I love to go there, we always used to go twice a year but since we have retired we haven't been for 2 years. Most of the resorts we have been to are great.

I hope to talk to you soon.

I just got my hotel today for Amsterdam it is the Park Plaza Victoria. It sounds like it is a excellent location, directly across the street from the Central Station.

Yup, although barely! Got in last night. Wish I'd taken the covered parking option. Had to scrape a bit of snow and ice off. Real downer after being in Playa for a week.

So this week I will be regrouping and starting to review the shorex issues for the Baltic cruise. I keep seeing good reviews for so many private tour operators that it's hard to come up with a decision, but I can't keep putting it off. That's where I'll have to start again this week, and you've added one I'd missed to my homework list.

    Hey Chris,

Add this to your homework-in St. Petersburg you need a camera pass for most of the places you will be attending. With the group you choose it is an added on expense. When you sign up with the tour operator have them to throw that amount in for free. It can be done.

I think I have our tour on our own figured out for Amsterdam. Not sure but still working on it. We are staying at the Park Plaza Victoria which has a great location in Amsterdam across the street from the central station that houses the trams, buses and canal boats. Anne Franks house is a 20 min walk and the Dam Square is directly behind the hotel with the Palace. We will arrive on the 14th and our cruise departs on the 16th.

Hope you had a great trip to Mexico. Too bad you have to come back to such awful weather. Hopefully we won't get much snow if any tonight.
