I'm signed on at the "other" roll call for this sailing.
I found this site through Bob's webpage for the 2007 TA, and I must say - what a great place this is! It is sooooo nice to have another place to hang out. (Bob, if your webpage for this sailing will be anything like the other one, it's going to be wonderful!)
It was my opinion that that other site was getting way out of control, so I hope things are a little more laid back and user-friendly here.
OK - this thread is definitely more lively. It will take me a little while to catch up reading all your posts so far. But I did get started, and have a question: Who are owls, and can I be one?
If you've had to have had an aft cabin in the past in order to qualify for membership, I can proclaim that my last two sailings (Summit and Infinity) have been in 7203 and 7206, respectively.
Couldn't get one this time (now I see why!), but am very happy to be occupying 6143 nonetheless.
I look forward to this cruise very much - I see I'm gonna be with stellar company!
Welcome to CLF and the roll call. Others are better qualified to explain the owls, but I'll try to give a nickle version.
Long, long ago, someone posted on Cruise Critic in the middle of the night and started a thread "Hello Night Owls - What'cha doin?". I think she was an ER nurse on mid shift. Well, many people answered and a very general thread was built. Since it was on the Float-away Lounge forum, almost any subject was OK. It became a purely social thread and had over 14,000 posts. Since there were people from all over, it was not strictly a night-time thread in any time zone. A few people got a little rambunctious and talked about a poster on other threads a bit too much and the moderators banned a few for 24 hours. Then someone else piped up in sympathy and it got a little contentious with the moderators and they pulled the entire thread. So many of us migrated over here.
The rules are more lax here, but you still have to be civil, but you can mention travel agents by name, for example that will get you in big time trouble over there. There is a "New Night Owls" thread over here (link is below). It's a very friendly group with no membership rules that I know of other than to be friendly (and it helps to love cruising, but it isn't mandatory). Give it a try.
Welcome to CLF Roxanne. You're really going to like it over here and I bet you see some familiar IDs and avatars. The rules are definitely more lenient as far as travel agents, and there is even a thread where we can ask TAs questions. Also, you can mention your TA by name. The only rule that I've seen so far over here is that each person is treated with respect and that every opinion is a valid one. You'll find no bickering, just a bunch of nice folks who love cruising and enjoy talking to each other. I'm glad you've migrated over here.
Hi Roxanne, and welcome to CLF! Hope you'll join our Owls thread as well. We can even mention Cruise Critic (aka the DS (Dark Side) by name! Just try to mention Cruise Line Fans over there and you will find yourself given a time out!
Actually, the mood over here is much friendlier and more relaxed. Trolls are closely monitored and really don't last very long so there is far less contention. Any question is a fair one and people tend to be helpful in response instead of being "right."

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals, dying of nothing.
They are still showing the original itinerary on the consumer and TA US website,
but it is still red flagged. Due to how long it's been red flagged, I'd say an itinerary
change is being looked at. If it was price, IMHO, it would have been repriced already. We're all just guessing though.
Not from my end, they're not. In fact, a search for Constellation TA for any date and direction comes up blank! Do I sense major confusion in Miami???
If they've pulled the Lisbon overnight out, the rates had jolly well better change significantly.
Edit: X is back in business. While showing "Sold Out", the itinerary remains intact.
Welcome Roxanne...we do have one small rule. That you must love cruising, as the rest of us! As Bob, Garry & Susan mentioned, we're a great group...friendly, compassionate, at times silly, and always there for one another.

There are 3 kinds of people in this world...those who want things to happen...those that make things happen...and those who just wonder what the hell happened!
I also think you'll like it here. It's definitely more relaxed here and I think the people are more friendly. I've seen no bickering here, occasionally we don't all agree on something but everyone is always treated with respect.
Please drop in on the owls thread, we'd love to see you there.
We are a great group of fun loving & cruise loving family! I might add - hard to keep up on the postings if you don't linger every day...but easy to catch up when you can take the time! We are a chatty group of Owls...
Someone out there...please keep us posted on the RED FLAG situation.
