Are there any gardeners out there?

As I sat on our screen porch this afternoon, (plastic still covering the screens) I was looking out at the garden all burried in snow. As the days are getting longer and warmer I am getting spring fever and I can't wait to get out in my gardens, Just wondering if anyone shared my love of gardening? Ya gotta do something when you aren't cruising,

You bet I do something when I'm not cruising, It's called going to "Work", so I can pay for the next cruise.

    I love gardening too!

Being in the Sacramento Valley has it's advantages.

Today I was able to get out between rain systems and transplant a beautiful new 5 gallon pink jasmine and some Clematis.
We added on to our house and have a huge task ahead of us this spring putting together our new backyard. I love the work generally and find it all very rewarding. Looking forward to fresh strawberries soon, and my sweet peas are just about to bloom! Wisteria and Cherry buds are fattening up nicely and the roses have started to push new growth!

If I can't be sailing on the ocean, then let me hang out in my garden!

Before moving to Arizona, I had a passion for gardening. I would spend Spring and Summer and Fall in the garden, and Winter collecting seed catalogues and planning all my new beds for Spring.

Now I'm trying to learn a whole new set of rules - Zone 9 now and the seasons are reversed. Petunias are in the nurseries in Autumn.

I will enjoy reading this thread and living vicariously.

    Green thumb cruising...

We noticed that our bulbs were pushing through the ground, and not just the crocus! Of course it was 92 degrees in OKC yesterday! Strange weather! 180 day drought.
