and welcome to the continuing saga of the....
INVASION OF THE VIBURNUM LEAF BEETLES
I was out last night... enjoying the garden... when all of a sudden I noticed the next wave of intruders munching down on the 3rd growth of my shrubs (or trees)... :indiffere
My mind screamed "Attack... Attack... Attack...!!!"... however... nothing could be done until morning...
So after careful deliberations and plan strategies... I was out in full force... HAND PICKING those little buggers all morning!!! :icon_smil
I'll regroup and go out again soon to continue more waves of battle until each and everyone of those attackers are wiped off the face of the earth (at least my patch, anyway)...

Tropicalgal, I have spent much time working and sweating in the garden since I first started the waterfall one sometime after 1995! From that waterpond area I just kept expanding, replacing perrenials that didn't come back with new ones. Then I would have visions for more garden areas......and it grew and grew, more garden, less grass to cut, I have kept the garden centers in business, 4 are very close to me, easy quick trips, Then there was the change of shade to sun areas when they cut down the woods to our west, and built homes, :thumbsdow As I again changed plants around I wasn't used to working in the hot beating sun and sweating like a pig.

This spring I put mulch all around all the gardens and put in just a few new plants. Outside of occasional weeding, a lot less than the other years, I have just relaxed on the porch and enjoyed all of it,

However...... have had my eye on a couple of areas to develope.....and I do have more hostas to split anytime now...... ever evolving....ever developing.....

Thanks. I took some this summer but haven't developed them yet. Guess it probably looks about the same. We have enjoyed it this summer.

Went browsing at the garden center this afternoon. I have those ideas in my head but they aren't quite clear yet, so didn't buy anything but a couple of potted mums just to add some fall color. Total was $15, I think that is the least I have ever spent at Gertens, Been dry here so I did water when I got home. Just not ready to split the hostas yet.
