Thread: Happy in Florida

Were you all wondering where I have been the last four months?

My life has been crazy and constantly changing. In September, Mom put her house on the market. Two months later, still unable to sell it, she took it off the market to let my younger sister live there alone while she moved to Florida with me and my cat. Then my other cat had to be euthanized because of chronic kidney failure just three days before the moving truck came to take our stuff. The same morning, my older sister's twins (boy and girl) were born. Four days later, Mom started the 15-hour drive from central Ohio to northern Florida. We finally moved into our new home, a rented condo in Gainesville, on December 12. So as soon as we were settled in, it was almost too late for Christmas shopping.

Now that I am officially a Florida resident and don't feel like an Ohioan anymore, I am finally ready to chat about cruises again.

Right now I am just wishing Mom would let me get my next cat on her next day off work. My older sister is trying to hook me up with the disabled adults organization in my area so I can get a job.

I changed my avatar to the Sapphire Princess because she's my first ship. The photo in my signature is a view from on the Golden Gate Bridge, which the Sapphire will sail under during my cruise.

Hope the job search goes well. It is very seldom a fun experience.

The view anywhere in San Francisco bay is amazing. There are few prettier spots of water anywhere. You are going to love going under the bridge.

I have been to San Francisco twice. Some of the hundreds of pictures I will take on my cruise obviously wil be the underside of that bridge.

Can't wait to see them. I miss SF! Take a trip above the financial district and look down to the bay. Beautiful.
