I think we'll take our suggestion and on Friday evening walk to Filippi's for supper. Is it an ok neighborhood to walk to....about 5:30-6pm or so? By the way, since you've stayed at the Hampton before, is there a Walgreens or CVS nearby?
Also, remember our cabin attendant on the 2006 Hawaii cruise, Fannie? Do you still see her working on Radiance? She is still the best we've ever had. |
Oh, the neighborhood is fine and is well lit. Just ask the front desk and they will give you directions, though from what I remember......... when you walked out the front door of the Hampton we turned right out of the door to the first street. Then another right up to India street (I believe that was 2 blocks up) and then a left onto India street. The restaurant will be on your right side. Remember, it's a store front.
There is a drug store within walking distance, but nothing like what we are used to back here. There is a huge grocery/drug store across from the big shopping mall. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the store, but if you want transportation there, the hotel van will take you.
If you are taking the HoHo bus or trolley...............I'll bet you'll find something along your route.
How could anybody forget Fannie? She was a real sweetheart. No, I did not see her in April of this year, but I do remember asking about her when we did Hawaii in 2008 and somebody mentioned that she was on the ship but they did not know what deck she had.
Guess we'll be on a mission to see if we can find Fannie. |

I have to admit that with a tub when you turn the shower on it does accumulate and you get a broader perspective of just how brown that water really can get.
