Kathy--I say the same thing about sheets--if I had a maid they would be changed every day--funny
Beautiful day here for Nov--will hit the hi 60's--we are finishing the outside work--
Dinner with friends tonight--looking forward to that--eating at a new place that was a department store when I was growing up and they took over the first floor in downtown--will report back
Lots going on this weekend, dinner tonight, visiting 89 yr. old uncle for his BD tomorrow and a baby shower for my niece--back later--
Wendy and Sheila, glad you both got some good news.
Sunny and nice today, had some rain yesterday.
Thinking of putting up our Christmas tree before we leave on the Radiance. It will be December 11 when we get back, and I am afraid I will feel really rushed to get everything done. Probably won't decorate the outside of the house except for a wreath.
Have a good weekend everyone!

OK, being serious now. Sheila, didin't you and Bob stay on Deck 4 for the Valparaiso to SD Member's cruise? Somebody on my Radiance Past-Present-Future thread is asking about cabin 4040 or 4560 and about the noise from the Centrum in the late afternoons and evenings when the various groups perform. Thought you might be able to answser her question.

What a beautiful day here in Central Illinois. Temp is 71 degrees right now. I took advantage and put the Christmas lights out on the 6 shrubs across the front of the house. When it's time to turn them on, I'm ready. Bill raked leaves & hopes it's the last time. We washed the siding on the house too, bugs sure make a mess. I'm sick of those stinky little beetles. '
Kathy, I guess it is confusing. We did not buy insurance when we booked the cruise which normally includes the cancellation policy. What we buy right before final payment includes travel interruption, baggage, medical, etc. Not cancellation. What saved Dorothy is that she is rooming with 2 other ladies and even tho she probably won't be going on the cruise the cabin is still needed so the reservation is still valid. Just one person not going. That is policy of RCCL, nothing to do with insurance.
Found out last night, Dorothy will be released from the hospital Sunday but not going home. The son & his wife decided to put her in Washington Christian Village which is a retirement home but takes people for a short period of time who require 24 hour care & therapy till then can go home. The hospital's stipulation for Dorothy's release was that she have 24 hour care. I heard she was disappointed she wasn't going home.
Enjoy your weekend. What a gorgeous day we've been given for November!
If I had Oprah's money, I could afford to get new sheets every day......
As for nothing on TV on Friday mights? Monk, Smallville, White Collar, Dollhouse, Numbers. Stargate, Sanctuary. That is the big night for TV!
Ummmmmmmmmm,like I said..
Thanks for explaining Wendy............I get it now!!
Christmas trees,Christmas lights,Christmas shopping.........this group is sure on top of things........well, except for me.......we put our lights up Thanksgiving, but this year we wont be home,so not sure when they will go up.................I really dont even feel like decorating inside.........my kids wont be around,so why bother........Dennis does like when I do,but hes not the one that has to pack it all up when its over........
Enjoy that dinner,Nancy.........
Im having salisbury steak, salad and fresh corn on the cob...........
been a nice day..windows all open and Im listening to the ice cream man's truck as I type!!
Evening everyone..........though it wasn't 71 here like at Wendy's house, it was about 65 and in the sun it was glorious. We got a lot of work done outside. Tomorrow is going to be another beautiful day, so I may try to move some plants around.
Christmas lights normally go up either the week of Thanksgiving or the day after..........it always depends on the weather and then the lighting ceremony is the day after Thanksgiving. They stay lighted until just after Christmas and are taken down before New Year's. Well, since we are leaving home the day after Thanksgiving and won't be home until 12/13, Christmas lights will consist of colored spotlights this year and that's it. This way if we have lots of snow during the holidays..............I don't have to worry about taking them down in the cold and snow.
Watched some football this afternoon and the teams I wanted to win.............won....... and the teams that I wanted to lose...........lost. So it was a good day.
Have a wonderful evening and will check back later or tomorrow.

Patti I'll stop over there and post my opinion. We have been on deck 4 for several cruises on various ships and we were never bothered by noise. I like being just off the Centrum. Off course lately we've been bitten by the balcony bug.
Kids just left. We had a nice time and showed them all our pics from Brilliance. We did get a lot of yard work done before they arrived. The weather this afternoon was lovely. I had to shed my coat while I worked.
Patti, that is one of the big downsides of taking a cruise between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Sure the ships are decorated but you miss the activities and shopping at home and as much as I hate to say it, it is hard picturing Christmas when the white is the sand and not the snow!
