Hi Lee, what the doc say?

Hi y'all!

Doctor's appointment: It was WORSE than I thought! How the heck a tube with a camera attached is inserted and then pushed into places that are exit only is terrible! You ladies have it a bit easier, (I am told).

Damn it stung! I still cringe to think about it. And then later, passing a bit of blood felt like hot razor blades going through.

The results of CT scan: Kidney stone, right kidney in the lower part.

Plan of attack: I lose my health insurance at the end of this month, so I am going to go in for a lithotripsy (shockwave/ultrasound) procedure.
So, I will have pre-op on Monday and the procedure next Friday.

No fun..........

Hi Hanna,

When Betty left her job, she was offered COBRA, I took it because I was insured through her. My job has NO health insurance.

At the Squad, we are looking into obtaining health insurance, but it is about a month or so away. Yes, it scares the hell out of me to be without. One hospital stay and I am .......................... Don't want to think about it.

Where is the gang tonight?

Am feeling ticked off, sad and mean tonight. Not that I want to kick anyone's sandcastle down, just feeling down and sad.

Betty is retired, and has Medicare and I have ......nothing. Hating life at the moment when I realize that one heart event could really mean disaster. I just hope I can hurry the Board of Directors into making the decision as to which health plan we will subscribe to. Just pray that nothing happens until it goes into effect.

Lee, I understand, when I left my previous employer I had insurance, changed jobs, due the waiting period with my new job (currently laid off), don't have any health insurance, can't afford to get ind. health ins.

Back again.

Usually when I "surf" the 'net, I get interested in something. Not tonight. I'd like to take a little pill and just go to sleep. Can't do that until I give my mother her medication and get her settled for the night.

Getting tired of being "stuck" without the Freedom to leave the house to blow off steam, or at least to the "Chamber of Horrors" and workout on my gym equipment. BUT, even if I had the Freedom, my elbow is forcing me to rest until it recovers. You know it is not right when it hurts the elbow just to make a fist!

I think I will just pop in a DVD of CSI Miami. Just bought the last season a couple days ago and we are just into the 2nd DVD. Just got that idea nixed because Betty wants to sleep.

I know today was the 13th, but was it Friday the 13th (U.S. bad luck day) or Tuesday the 13th (bad luck day in Latin America). Or in my case, having spent so much time in Latin America and being an American, maybe both Tuesday the 13th and Friday the 13th are bad luck days for me?

At least my dog hasn't bitten me................yet.

One good thing; I received my second set of remote flash triggers. I can now hook up 6 flashguns and fire them remotely from my camera! Oops, wrong thread for camera/photo discussion! Right Blueyes??????

Hmmmmm................maybe I should hook up the remote triggers to some mines in the sandbox and ambush Lorrie? Speaking of Lorrie, where is she? I got some e-mailed jokes from her, but nothing else!

I am not believing you work in the public safety sector, and they dont provide you health insurance@!!!!! that is silly!!!!!! my gosh!!!!

Sorry to hear about your Roto Rooter job today, Stubby. But, I will tell you, the lithotripsy is much easier. Dewy has kidney stones quite often and has had to have lithotripsy done several times. It's not a massage by Hanna the swedish viking but, it's not Roto Rooter again either!!!!!!

Well, Dewy is still having a really tough time of it. We have severe weather heading here and he can feel every bit of it. We have a cold front moving in from Northwest and with it we are getting Severe Thunderstorms and Tornados. So, we are crossing our fingers for just the thunderstorms. Since when was a severe thunderstorm a good thing???? I guess since I moved into Tornado alley.

Well, I haven't mentioned it in quite a while so I will take advantage of it right now.... Did anyone hear about that September 11-18, 2010, Carnival Dream cruise to the Eastern Caribbean? No???? Well, we have really good rates and plenty of room!!!!!! Awe... come on.... you know you wanna go!!!!!!!!!! Just think.... 7 days with Lorrie and Stubby.... what else could anyone ask for??????? Or you could be on the Titanic. Just about the same amount of thrills and chills and for me.... spills!!!!!!!!

Well, I hear the thunder and Dewy is telling me to turn off the computer.... kill joy!!!!!!
