Thank you! Tucker is a very handsome boy! The Tonkinese have either blue, aqua or green (very green) eyes. I HAD to have one with blue or aqua. My baby Schatzi had blue eyes and I just missed them so much when he was gone.

Here's a picture of by beloved Schatzi. His eye color didn't ever show up too well in pictures but he was such a sweet and handsome kitty.

This one is Boo. Boo is the bada$$ of the bunch, or he likes to think he is. Boo is definitely a mama's boy and is sooooo jealous. If Kent or Zack even talk to me he gets all meowy and has to get between me and them.

This next one is Phoebe with Tucker. We inherited Phoebe when Nick went to the Navy. She's her grandpa's girl. She really, really loves Kent. She goes to bed with him at night and reads until he turns out the light. Any time he sits in his recliner she seems to know and comes running to get on his lap. Now, when her dad (Nick) visits she snubs him, LOL.

Last, but certainly not least, is Minime with Tucker. Minime is our youngest son Zack's cat. He found Mini in the middle of a country road, all hunkered down and it was a cold, rainy, fall day. Believe it or not Mini was a tiny kitten, just skin and bones, filthy dirty and just nasty but he brought him home and we loved him back to his presently magnificent self. He is HUGE and was horribly misnamed but at the time we couldn't have known he would grow to be so big.

For those of you with really sheddy pets I can't recommend the Furminator enough. I finally broke down and bought one, mostly for Mini because that cat is a giant fur ball! This is the pile of fur Zack brushed out of him in about one minute. We got a lot more than that. His shedding has slowed considerably.

If it does, I can assure you Wolfie wouldn't let me get anywhere near her with it. I'd lose a finger or two in the process. Heck, she tries to bite me if I come near her with a brush.

Good morning!! My nephew was at school there last year! He is in the navy and is now stationed out of San Diego......i just got an email from him last week, and he was in Tokyo....I am thinking after his nuclear training he went up north somewhere, in the new england states...it was last winter, and was cold cold cold!

Hey Fiesty....Redskins? Oh, u mean the ones that one lastnight 13-10.....??? those ones that are 3-0? Yea, i am real familiar with that team!!!!

    LOL.
    Good morning.

Uck, jeans are too hot for cruises. Tell Dwight to show those sexy legs, ha!

That's cool that your nephew is a nuke too. After the classes Nick and the others have been taking in Charleston, they divide the group up for the next phase. Some of them go to upstate NY and the others stay in Charleston. Nick got lucky and is staying in Charleston. That will be for another 6 months. Then they all go to Groton, CT for 2 months and train on the sub they have there. He is going to be a sub officer so it could have been different for your nephew. After that who knows? Nick said that they could request the preference of 3 duty stations. He hopes to stay in the Atlantic fleet because he wants to end up in Europe at some point. He did list Pearl Harbor though and he said nobody wants to go there because it is so expensive to live there and so pretty much anyone who lists it, gets sent there. I told him it would be a shame if he ends up there and we have to go visit. Only time will tell I suppose. I know that this nuke program is very tough academically but he hasn't been able to tell us a thing about it because it is top secret.

No it doesn't make noise. Our cats really like it but they like to be brushed anyway. It has very short teeth and behind the teeth is a blade that thins the fur out. It is very effective. My sister-in-law has a dog named Wolfie. He is 1/2 wolf. I've never met him (they live in San Diego) but I hear he is a really nice dog.

Depends when and where you cruise. In December, it's really not too bad. I don't wear shorts anymore, but jeans are no big deal. I would imagine you'd want the jeans in Alaska. But it will be a long time before I'll ever get to go there.

I need to go back (many times, of course) and play with both. Keyboard feel is important for me and my iBook doesn't feel 'clicky.' I didn't buy anything because I gat an iPhone about a week ago.... I have to hold back for a little...
I have to say that the keyboards on my Imac and my Air took a little getting used to. At first, I didn't like them....not even a little, but I got used to them and now the old fashioned clicky kind bug me. It just seemed strange because the keys are so flat and they don't stick up much. You probably wouldn't have this problem but I find if I let my nails get too long it hinders my typing abilities, LOL. I need to file them back now.

    Hi Janet,
My son n law that's a "nuke" guy was in school at Groton Ct too, now stationed in Bremerton Washington. They have been there a couple of years now and are looking forward to shore duty. Italy was one choice, and although it is very far away, I wouldn't mind visiting!!! I'd consider it my duty.

Hey Janet looks like we're alone now. Just came home from seeing Mama Mia and now I have ABBA songs running through my head and I was hoping to stay busy here to take my mind off the music.

Since I haven't read the entire thread yet, I'll intro myself and then get reading. For our June 2007 cruise, I was able to hook up on a roll call and met some great people and we had a blast. Many of us "email" on a daily basis and hope to cruise together. Our fearless leader Sonia (what are you over here again), got almost everyone to join CLF from CC aka DS and that is not dear son.... Anyway, she got permanently banned over there because of it, but who cares we had so much fun. Our roll call had over 15,000 posts on it from Jan. to June that year.

Ok, enough about me...I'm a bit shy as my fellow cruisers will surely tell you.

Well, I'll have to start reading and catch up, I'll post back in about a week or so!

LOL Laurie! Now I have to remember to spell Laurie or Lorrie.....just like Sonya or Sonia or Sonja!!

Laurie here is another of my good friends from last years cruise and we all met here on CLF!!!
