Info on Summit Cabin 8179 - Cruise Line Fans: Cruise Forum, Reviews and Chat From Real Cruisers

Has anyone who has sailed on Celebrity Summit ever been in cabin 8179? We have it reserved for our Hawaii cruise in September, and I'm wondering if it's a good cabin. It's surrounded by CC cabins and a FV aft cabin. Any info on this cabin would be greatly appreciated.

You might go over to the Celebrity area if you haven't already. There will be cabin info and deck plans. Also someone might see your post and respond if they've been in that cabin or a similar one.

I don't think your cabin should be any different than any of the other Deluxe Ocean View cabins on the ship. The verandah will be standard sized. The verandah won't have a partition on the left side....just a short wall. There is no engine noise there. And you are only a couple of decks from the restaurant in the morning.

If you want to consider a great upgrade, see if you can get your hands on one of the aft facing cabins. They all have HUGE verandas (nearly as large as the cabins) and we love being able to sit back and watch the wake....silly as that sounds.
