Question Celebrity Cocktail and / or Wine Cards

Hello CLF friends! We are booked on an October 1st sailing on the Mercury with 8 friends, for an annual "Girlfriend Cruise".

I returned from 2 HAL cruises with in the last few months and they have a great cocktail card and a wine card you can purchase.

We have not sailed on Celebrity since 2005, and I was wondering if the had anything comparable?

I sure love the HAL idea!

Thank you,
"T"

As of February they were not offering anything like that. The only cards available were the Coke cards. To my knowledge, Celebrity has never offererd an adult beverage/wine card like some of the other cruise lines.

Thanks Char, those martini's seem to flow a little easier with those punch cards! I hope X catches on soon!

It was very convient and you saved a couple of bucks!

Celebrity does have a drink program, but it is available only to groups.

It's my understanding that it is pretty expensive (something like $40 a day PP) and the WHOLE group has to purchase them. Is this correct? But you must be part of a large group, not an individual cruiser for this to be available. Correct?

Yes, yes and yes.

Not something I'd consider.

Cool Whooo!

We are a group of 8, but I don't think any of us are to interested in that deal! I have to admit I was very disappointed in the cabin packages I saw for alcohol on the Celebrity website!

OOOCH! Are they wearing a mask or what! I know drinks are not cheap, but in was way out of whack I thought compared to our last HAL cruise in March!

All of the girlfriends love MARTINI'S so I am sure we will figure it out!
Thanks everyone for your help!

Just playing the devil's advocate here Wild Thing.

I see you've been on the Mercury, my favorite ship BTW, twice before.
There must be something that brings you back.

Wink U R Right!

So right Reggierail!

I love the HAL ships and service... oh yeah and those mariner dream beds!

BUT.. The Mercury is just a very special ship to us! Great service all the way around! I feel at home there!

I am now looking at a 14 day Alaska cruise on her! I just wish they would get the same cocktail and wine cards that HAL has! They work sooo slick!

We even love the photography staff, Ralston and Evan, they were onboard both of our Mercury cruises, they were a hoot!!

I am looking forward to seeing her updates in October!

The new bedding on Mercury is fantastic, too good almost, I didn't want to get out of bed.

BTW, I have group space blocked on the 4-27-08 14 night Alaska cruise. Come check it out under CLF group cruises.
