Question How rough is is sailing on Celebrity Infinitity to Antartica over Christmas?

I am thinking of sailing from Santiago, Chili to Buenos Aires over Christmas on either Celebrity or Norwegian Cruise Lines but I'm concerned the sea could be rough. Has anyone cruised either ship? How was the trip? What was the age of the passengers? I'm considering traveling alone since my husband is unable to go and wondered about the age of the passangers and the roughness of the sea. Thanks for your help

Larra .... Wish I could be of some help.

Everyones who's done this always says it's rough whenever you go! Still, I want to give it a try. Hopefully, we'll get some additional comments.

Please let us know if YOU have made any decision on taking this?

I was on the Infinity to Hawaii. Seas were rougher around the Islands than crossing the Pacific. Ship seemed to handle the rougher seas very well, but we were rocking around a bit, (I lilked that motion).
Never been around So America but would like to try it someday. Have heard some stories about that trip though. Sounds like those who don't get seasick might need some help from dramamine or bonine though. I haven't talked to anyone who didn't enjoy it, so far!

Larra- I cruised from Rio to Valpariso in Dec. 2003. We did not go to Antarctica, though we'd love to some day!
The trip around Cape Horn was placid!!! Not a ripple on the water. The trip between Argentina and the Falklands was a bit wilder but with after I put a patch on, and I was great!!
It is one of my most memorable cruises.
As for age of the passenger, I think you will find on all cruises that the majority are retired, as it's a longer cruise. I was 44 when I took this cruise and enjoyed my fellow pax very much, they were well travelled and interesting.
