Hi Faith, good to see you over here.

Yes Ruth, I did send the link to Liz, like Sue did. She is so busy just doing what she is doing that I doubt we'll see her over here for a while.

I will still update the roll call list and occasionally post on the roll calls. I'm still looking forward to meeting most of the folks on our cruise. It is just on the main Celebrity board that I will probably not be posting. Just not enough time.

And as Ruth noted the heavy hitters are mostly over here so any answers I need I can get from friends here that use really neat smilies and give me frubals!

Faith, I'm glad you decided to join us here.
It is sooo much more fun and the people are great. I will probably also keep up with the roll call on the ds, but it takes so much time just to keep up over here with everybody moving over, I will probably not go back for any other posting. Be sure to introduce yourself, you will be surprised at the welcome you will get.
    Sue

This is a copy of what I just posted on my spring transatlantic roll call thread. It occurred to me that you might want to know as well:

    AAACCCCKKKK ALERT!!!!

For those of us taking advantage of Aer Lingus discounted rates - I just visited their website, thanks to a discussion on the Baltic leg roll call - they have a carry-on baggage limit of 9x14x18 inches and 14 lbs!!!

For coach passengers checked luggage, we get 2 bags, one of which can measure 62" and the other no more than 55" (that's length, width and depth) Max weight per bag is 70lbs.

My understanding is that they are not the only ones to impose (and enforce) the carry-on limits, so be sure to check with your airline!

British Airways is much the same. According to your class is what you are allowed to bring into the cabin. We have the "cheapie seats" so we have 13 lb weight maximum. It will hardly hold all of our camera equipment in one & my make-up (ha! ha!) in the other. HOwever, we do have a 4 bag 70 lb limit for checked luggage. So I guess I will take a chance & check the camera stuff (not!) how could I do that with my make-up. We will figure something out before November. I have all my cruise friends to help with this - right?

    Faith,

Ruth is also on the same spring TA that I have booked, and she indicated that they don't weigh your handbag. So, just find a bigger purse that will hold your camera and makeup.

Thanks for the alert Susan. We are on Delta and they are sooo unpredictable right now, who knows what will happen by November?? Hopefully they will still be flying.

I found a place on line (ebags.com) that sells enormous travel tote bags which you can use as your "handbag" on an overseas flight. I'm sure there are others, too. I used this company to find my laptop tote which I'll be using as my handbag -- I was told they don't weigh your handbag. We can only hope!

Ruth, Let me know how it works out after your cruise. I got a travel bag as a birthday gift from a friend a couple of years age that has lots of compartments and holds quite a bit. It was from Magellan.com. Sue

Sue, I've spent a whole lot of $ with magellans.com in the past month! If my DH ever sees the bills, I'm doomed. I bought my "day" handbag from them - got one with the security wires built in. Ruth

    Ruth,
I ordered the flight spray last year and got a lot of laughs from my family , but I didn't get sick after we got back home from the long flight , so who knows, maybe it helped. I just called it my voodoo medicine.
