Question Mercury, Nov 11/05 Mexican rivera

We're going on the Mercury on Nov 11th this yr for 10 days. Anyone else going???? This is our first cruise with Celebrity, so we're looking forward to it.

Would love to chat with some people that have done this cruise

Good Morning. I'm new to this forum, but am going on MERCURY Feb 11 '06 to Mex. Riviera. We're in mini-suite CC 1024. Would love to hear how your cruise went. This is our first with Celebrity. We've had 14 other cruises, mostly with Princess and just wanted to try Celebrity for a change. Our e-mail address: Nicknmarcie@insightbb.com if you are able to reply. Thanks! Marcie

Marcie & Karen.......Welcome to CLF!! You will find a great bunch of cruisers here who are willing to answer or help you to find an answer for just about anything and have fun while doing it too!

Sit back, and look around. ENJOY! We are one big family here and we all love cruising!

Hopefully you will find some others on this cruise.

Marcie - I'm on this cruise in April and also would love to hear about it so I hope you'll be kind enough to post a report when you get back.

    Thanks

We had a great time. It was our first time with Celebrity also. The ship is smaller than we're used to but overall a fun time. I would do that cruise again.
We also have cruised on Princess a lot.
The only really strange thing I found was the pools closing at 8pm and the hot tubs at 9pm. We're used to Princess being open 24 hr.

I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.

I'll be happy to let you know how it went if I can figure out how to do it! I am barely able to use a computer, so it's a gamble! If you want to e-mail me after Feb 24 I will be able to reply for sure that way! It's Nicknmarcie@insightbb.com! We come home on Feb 24.

So happy to hear that you liked your Celebrity cruise. The Mercury I hear is in need of refurbishing, but is clean and staff is helpful. I am new to this website and not sure what a thread is or a furbee or whatever that is, so if I'm not typing this reply in the correct place, big surprise! Oh well...I tried! Marcie

I'd be happy to "frubal" you if I only knew how and what that is! But, thanks for the welcome note, and I'll play around with this site and see what happens. Marcie!

    Mercury

Hi everybody - we had a group of over 100 people who went on the 10-31-05 - 11 day and had heard reports that the Mercury was in bad shape.

There was not one person in our group that agreed with that assessment - She is a beautiful ship, very well kept up and clean as a whistle in every respect. The public areas all looked like they were new, not just very well maintained and the only thing that was even remotely worn was the floors in a few of the elevators which looked like they might have used a little varnish. There are a couple of good reviews of our trip on the Cruise Critic Site that I will see if I can get the links for and publish them here.
