This is an exciting itinerary, and we're looking forward to seeing a new part of the world. Anyone else joining us?

There are 3 kinds of people in this world...those who want things to happen...those that make things happen...and those who just wonder what the hell happened!
Karyn and Bill,
I'm not on this cruise, but it just occurred to me that it must have felt neat as heck to just start this roll call. What an adventure this is going to be for you all.
Rick
No such thing as a bad sea day.
Karyn – I see you are also on the Maniac List. Ruth and I are doing the Auckland to Honolulu leg. I think we have a rather busy group over there. Looks like a lots of fun.

So lets all cruise!
You know Karyn, if you had extended this to include the NZ to HLN leg and the HI to LA leg we could have joined your roll call too.
As it is now, I'll just drop by and kibitz...

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals, dying of nothing.
Susan, by all means, let's extend the Roll Call for 2/17/08, 3/2/08, and anyone else who is staying on the L.A. (Ensenada) 3/16/08.
Rick, we are excited about this "adventure"...a part of the world we can't wait to explore!!
Betty, you're right, the Maniac List is a busy one...and so early!!

And if you extend it, and we can get Chuck's attention, it might mean that I won't have to constantly see a "Last Post" from the What a Hoot Cruisers!
BTW, Betty, I saw your name, I think, on the Maniacs list but there is no screen name. Are you a Lurker over there, or have I "met" you already?

We are considering the 08 New Zealand to Honolulu.
We are probably not going to book till next spring when the school calendar comes out. We don't mind t he kids missing one week, but two is a bit to much so we are waiting to see if it coincides with spring break for them.

Susan – Yes, I am one of the Maniacs. I sent my info to Sheila before everyone had determined what was going to be posted. I’m Raindropsalways there also and will get the info sent eventually.
Suzanne – This cruise seems to be selling. We booked over a month ago and the HC cabin we requested was already gone. I understand that there are some categories already sold out. Have you ever considered taking the kid’s assignments along? There are enough days at sea that they could tear themselves away from the pool long enough to get some homework done. Please, do not tell them who suggested this.

Hi HO!
Karyn, thanks for starting this roll call....I THINK one of the administrators can change the title of the thread if you think all three trips in the title will help draw folks here?
Susan, thanks for thinking of me and sending the info/link.
I got an e-mail from Vacations To Go (THINK) yesterday and two of these trips were on their list of "specials." The NZ to Honolulu Ocean Views they listed as "SOLD OUT" of course we have a long, long wait.....................Chuck

It is amazing how quickly these cabins seem to have been selling. Even if we assume that it is TAs buying them up to resell, it still represents a huge demand for this type of itinerary.
Hopefully, buy the time we decide we can afford the 2/17 leg cabins will be more plentiful. We settled on the NZ to HLN leg because it will allow us to sail on a new (to X) journey that also allows us time in Australia before and Hawaii after the cruise.
I just hope the Mercury has time to get a specialty restaurant and a larger martini bar installed before we sail!
