Hi All

Kindly ask you to give me any advise.
It's gonna be our first cruise and we booked Celebrity Millennium Guarantee - Veranda on cruise starting 02.01.2010 (3 monthes prio to start). But today I discoved that cabin already assign although I was told it used to be 1-2 days prio to departure. What do you think - Is it mistake?
And about the cabin 7053 - it's nealy in the center but close to the corner (Deck Layout)
Could you pls advise me is it OK and if not do I have a chance to change it

The cabin placement looks fine -- cabins above and below (no noise from fitness room, restaurants, etc.). A guarantee can be assigned almost immediately after booking or up until boarding (I think this is not often). Once you are assigned to your cabin, generally you may be able to change to any other available cabin in the same category, which in your case looks like a 2B. If you booked directly through Celebrity, call them for a change after searching for other available cabins (by doing a dummy booking or looking at seascanner.com). If you booked through an agency, have them look for available cabins for you and then they can call Celebrity. If booked through an agent, Celebrity will generally NOT talk directly with you.

P.S. Just checked at Seascanner and they are showing NO available 2B cabins at the moment. There are, however, 2 GREAT FV Aft corner cabins available if you should want to pay to upgrade (and if you aren't prone to seasickness from motion at the very rear of the ship.) Don't know how expensive the Guarantee category was when you booked, but the FVs might be quite a bit more.

Its strange but I see many free 2B cabins in the center and end(Booking Request)
Actually I'm afraid that cause of corner we'll have limited view from our cabin (7053)
Can you pls advice us what cabins might be better if any

I see no 2C cabins on the Celebrity website but several on Seascanner. Two that stand out are cabins 7174 or 7171.
They have a very large balcony and location adjacent to the elevators. If you can switch I would do so and place a do not upgrade once you do.

So you think I may try to change it? Again - i booked Guarantee veranda via agent (cruise.com)

If you can get them to change to either 7174 or 7171, I would do it.
Look at those balconies! It can't hurt to request it..
Since they have already assigned you a cabin number, maybe they can get it changed to one of those two.

I would try and change it for a client of mine. Don't know how easy cruise.com is to work with. You might ask if they have fees to make a change also.
