"Apples for Apples" Celebrity offers a very good value .... Often, the same price of even less than other mass market cruise lines for basically the same sort of cabin and itinerary.
Have any of the rest of you found this to be true as well?

It really does depend on ship, sail date, and itinerary. But yes, you are correct, Lulu. There are times when Celebrity's pricing is very comparable to and even better than other cruise lines. And considering the higher level quality of food and service you get, it makes for a much better deal overall.
No doubt in my mind that if the prices are the same or even a little bit more, I'd much rather sail on Celebrity than some of the others. They just have such a wonderful product, especially the newer ships, which are awesome.

Couldn't agree more with you Lulu. Celebrity for the same price offers a bit more- better service, better food. And if you look around, you will find that once in a while, their prices are even less than their competition.
What is really interesting is that Celebrity is marketed as the upscale RCL line. Now, they don't have all the extras that you would find on the big RCL ships, but they more than make up for it in the other areas of food and service. Prices are the same, however.
I've definitely seen some cheaper rates with Celebrity in Australia on her longer cruises. Less than $100AUD per day for her 17 day cruises around the top end or the south

I've gotten some exceptional deals on Celebrity.
Since I'm Elite the extra bennies are a big plus.

I agree Celebrity is the best value for money in general.
On our last trip the CD did refer to the Celebrity as a Premium Cruise Line.
I wonder what denotes a premium line as opposed to a regular line ? is it just the price ? If so I wouldn't say Celebrity is pricier than the regulars RCCL , Princess etc ?
Tony
I agree; premium is Celebrity, HAL, and Cunard. I would almost put Disney in there, but they fall short in the food category; while everything about them is premium, the quality of the food keeps them out of this category. Plus, the prices are just too high.
My reason for classifying a cruise line "premium" would be based on an overall quality factor to include food, service, ships, and prices.

So Crystal , Seabourn , Silversea would be rated as luxury ?
