    Help-Open Passages Question

Hey all....when we were aboard our cruise back in December, we loved Celebrity SOOOO much that we bought a Reserved Passages and a Open Passages. We are presently in the process of transferring the Reserved Passages to a cruise on the Silhouette to the Western Caribbean for 7 April 2013. So I have a question because this came up with my friend's booking because I found out she had transferred her Open Passages to the agency she had been working with (we are both working with another one for this cruise). I have an Open Passages certificate as well.....do I also have to transfer this one to a TA? For some reason, I was under the impression that it was just the Reserved Passage.

As far as I know you do not have to transfer it to a TA now . But if you book through a TA you will have to transfer it when that occurs.

Sharon, no, you can leave the Open Passages certificate with Celebrity until you decide what cruise you want to book. At that point you can either book direct with Celebrity and then transfer it to a TA (within 60 days of making the booking) or leave the booking with Celebrity or transfer the Passages and have the TA make the reservation.

I have found it easier to make the booking direct with Celebrity when we decide on a cruise and then transfer the booking to our TA who gives us some nice perks.

Thanks for the replies! I thought I had understood it correctly, but as we were booking/transferring information for our next cruise, I got an email yesterday from the TA we are working with stating that she thought she understood it that we had transferred our booking to an agency and she requested that I phone Celebrity. We had not done anything with ours up until yesterday so I wrote her back with what Celebrity had told me on the phone (that they indeed still had our Reserved Passage) and that it would probably take a few more hours to get everything through. She wrote me back saying that it was my friend that had it and that Celebrity had been confusing on the phone (imagine that!). I knew my friend had purchased an Open Passages and I was a little surprised it was transferred to a TA already, which is what made me think that maybe I misunderstood the representative when we bought the Passages. Ok, so now I'm at ease. We're not ready to put a second cruise up....it's earmarked for our Panama trip.
