I knew we would feel the pitch motion more but I didn't consider if it would be noisy there ?
I am looking forward to being forward actually.
It will be interesting to report on it as an experience. You can all learn from my mistake
I will tell my wife on the way to the ship

I thought there was no smoking at all on all balconies on Celebrity ?

I just returned from my cruise so am a little late posting to it. I have pictures of cabin 6185 that I'm posting below. This shows how the lifeboats block the view.

    This is looking straight out.

This is looking to the right.

Tony, I thought the same thing. Now there is smoking on one side of the deck with the pool but you should be far enough away from that.

Thanks for the pictures Garry. Good for future reference , but since I started this question I have book an unobstructed view.

By the way I have had to cancel my TA trip on the Celebrity Eclipse next April that you are on , (due to a pregnancy due date) and have changed it for Celebrity Silhouette from Bayonne in Jan.

No smoking in the cabins or balconies. Unless they have changed it since I sailed the Solstice class, the smoking area is on the port side of the Resort Deck near the entrance to the spa and pool bar. The other area is on the port side of the Lido deck in the Sky Observation Lounge. These are the locations for the Solstice, Equinox, and probably the Eclipse. I just looked at the deck plan for the Silhouette and it looks a bit different for the Resort deck so am not sure where the outdoor smoking area is located.

I'm sorry we won't be cruising together. Babies come first! I hope we can cruise together in the future.

There is a smoking area on the Entertainment deck (outside promenade).
One is outside by Celebrity Destinations deck 5. There is also another one..I think close to where the specialty restaurants are..??

All lounges are non smoking except for the port side of the Sky Observation Lounge.
As far as I can remember the Sky Observation Lounge is one of the few lounges where there is a dance floor.
This lounge is also often used for the Elite cocktail events every day between 5pm-7pm.

My favorite lounge was the Ensemble Lounge very plush, very decadent

There are actually very few smoking areas on the Constellation class ship. And we got a note on our door (as did everyone) stating exactly where and where not smoking was allowed. I remember one small portion of one of the lounges had a small smoking section, the bar by the pool had smoking on one side, and the pool area on that side also allowed smoking.

I can look up the paperwork if you would like.
