Question Do Celebrity ships offer Lunch in the MDR when in port?

Does Celebrity have the MDR open for lunch when ships are making a port call ... or is only the buffet open?

Can this vary from time to time? What are your feeling on this?

Celebrity does not offer lunch in the MDR on port days. There is plenty of food available in the other food venues to satisfy anyones noontime hunger.

I think it is a good idea because the passenger count is much lower on port days. This gives the service staff an opportunity to go ashore, too.

On the In Port Days when the MDR is closed for lunch, does Celebrity have help for those who are not able to manage going through a buffet line?

This could be very important to some considering Celebrity who would find it extrememly difficult to do the buffet without assistance.

Or you could order room service. It is available 24/7.

We found service in the buffet to be a little more lax on the last cruise but I am sure if someone were to ask for help, they would get it.
