Rumour? Michaels Club for Captains Club members 4pm - 6 pm?

Hope this hasn't been discussed previously. If so, please direct me to the thread!! Thank you.

Rumour has it that on the Solstice and Connie, Select and Elite Members have the use of Michaels Club for breakfast and early evening drinks.

Anyone know anything about this? With both Select and Elite members, sounds as though it would be overcrowded.

This is the first I have heard of this, but I would welcome it with open arms!

I agree, that giving this perk to any others than the Elite would result in overcrowding. Would the drinks be free as they are on Royal Caribbean in the Concierge Lounge?

Do you suppose Celebrity will add a tier above Elite like the Crown & Anchor has done with the Diamond+?

I would love that! Then I would be at the top tier for both cruise lines.

Well, it seems to be a 'trial' on the Connie and the Solstice.

4.00pm - 6.00pm apparently - don't know if the drinks are free. They may do as RCCL is going to do, free wine and champers and the hard stuff at a discount.

I agree - it would be nice. I don't know if they need an Elite plus, but I would have thought Select, would overcrowd. Of course, this may not be open to Suitees - its not a CL - or is it?

Interesting though. We are Elite on Celebrity, but I don't know how many cruises we have had with them. Being Elite, made us Diamond on RCCL. But we had to start from scratch a few years ago, to reach Plus. Now made it just in time

    Have a nice day

    New info :

On Millie, Michael's Club serves as a lounge for Elite Members, and guests booked in suites. Hours are 4 pm to 6 pm. All drinks are free.

Plus - $50 worth free Internet.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Char - the Internet will be welcome!! Sounds more likely than open to Select.

Desiree, that sounds pretty good. Too bad we'll be on Infinity in September! BUT...since they are doing it on the Millie as well perhaps the Infinity will also be included by September. One can only hope.

It's about time Celebrity started to do more for their loyal members.

Having just been on Infinity, there was no word of anything like that. It would have been a nice perk.

    Its certainly interesting.

But, the problem as I see it, is that RCCL had problems with too many Diamonds - are there going to be too many Elite guests, as it only requires 11 cruises and there is no level above that? The overcrowding problem was solved on RCCL by only permitting Diamond Plus access - but there is no such level on Celebrity.

Goodness, I feel another thought coming on!!

As the levels are reciprocal, this will open the Celebrity facility to all the Diamonds from RCCL!! Now they must have thought of that - or have they?

I forecast another mutiny on the Dark Side when they start another level on Celebrity and effectively ban the hundreds of thousands Diamond refugees from RCCL.

Speaking of the Dark Side, There have been first hand reports, live from the ship, about this new perk, so Celebrity must be doing it on select voyages. Maybe picking ones that don't have a lot of Elite members.

The report from the Millie only mentioned Elite and said the drinks were free and included mixed drinks as well as wine.

We will be watching this one closely!

I hope it's a success and they implement it on all the ships before my November sailing on the Equinox!
