Is it really that far from Ft. Lauderdale to where you live? For those of us in Texas the difference in distance is trivial between Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and Port Canaveral. (about 150 miles, right?)

It does sound like they are improving the perks on Celebrity. I may have to check them out again one of these days.

The perks on this cruise for Elite and/or suite guests (supposedly to add to other ships soon) were finally something to talk about. We got a big bag of laundry free, 90 minutes of INTERNET each (180 minutes), a trip to the bridge, galley, back stage, a Happy 2 hours in Michael's Club each day, an invitation for a free dinner in Ocean Liners the first night, and a few more I will remember later. Anyhow, if they keep this going, they will make a lot of us happy.
Here's another report from a passenger getting off of the Connie.
Here are the four key new benefits. These are tryout programs and might not be retained forever. Also they are not uniform fleetwide as each ship is doing it's own thing.
1. Complimentary dinner to be used first night only in Ocean Liners for all Suites, all guests on VIP list and top two or three cruisers depending on the gap. Entire meal was comped, suggested gratuity-$5 per person.
2. Michael's Club - available to Penthouse Suite, Royal Suite, Celebrity Suites, VIP list and Elite only. No other room categories and no other Captain's Club levels. They are providing breakfast from 8am to 10am, consisting of a continental buffet, champagne cocktails, and cappuccinos. Cocktail hour from 4pm to 6pm-includes appetizers, complimentary wines and cocktails. An access card is required for entry, one card per cabin.
3. 90 minute Internet package valued at $50 per person, not per cabin, therefore it is 180 minutes and a $100 value. You give your SeaPass Card to the staff member at Online Celebrity room and they activate the package.
4. Complimentary laundry services - these are per person, not per cabin, therefore you get double benefit. a. up to 2 complimentary pressed items; this is pressing only b. 1 complimentary dry clean item; c. up to 10 complimentary wash, dry and fold (does not include dry cleaning and pressing) d. $20 laundry bag - wash, dry, fold (does not include dry cleaning and pressing)
PS - The pillow chocolates have been downgraded again to a small 1 inch square.
I hope this goes fleet-wide this way! It sounds great!
I hope these are avaiable when we sail on Infinity the end of September! It's a 16 day Panama Canal sailing and we sure will need the laundry services!

I'll need the laundry service too! We're spending a week in Tuscany before boarding the Equinox for the transatlantic cruise.
