Ah, Wolfshadow -- sorry to hear that you missed them. The pool I'll describe in a minute, but the entire area was great. Sauna right next to the pool. Nice, soothing music, even in the showers. Relatively low lighting. Nothing in that that reminds me at all of the M-Class setup.

The pool was an experience in itself. It was divided into several sections to provide different experiences, some at pretty high velocity. It had a vertical outlet that had enough pressure to really work over your shoulders and neck. It had high pressure outlets in the pool itself that you could aim at whatever part of your anatomy needed some relief. Distancing yourself provided whatever degree of pressure you liked. It was like a massage - one where you could direct the work to whatever degree and whatever time you liked.

On the other end was what I came to call the "bubble bed". It was a series of horizontal stainless tubes through which there was a continuous flow of air bubbles. You could pretty well float on top of them. I used to stick a towel under my head as a sort of anchor so I could float free without floating away. Actually did fall asleep on it once!

If they still had this kind of arrangement in the newer ships, I'd be a prune after the first 24 hours aboard.

There used to be a charge except for Elite Captain's Club members and suites. Now there is no charge because there is no T-pool.
