New Food, Beverage, Dress Code for Celebrity

Yesterday (7/2), Celebrity Miami headquarters had a meeting with Captain's Club Elite members for the unveiling of new features on the Solstice and a sneak preview of Celebrity's new food and beverage and dress code.

I am attaching both a pdf and power point file of this presentation.

Thanks Garry!

This is a welcome change and the fact that they will actually enforce the dress code is a big plus in my mind!

Thank you Garry for posting this.
The new dress codes and F&B package are really interesting.
Smoking policy aside, I might have to get myself over to a Celebrity ship soon.

Wow Some exciting stuff

The Starring You Gala sounds like a nice alternative to the Mid-Night buffet as well. I know they are positioning the lavish brunch as the replacement, but the after part food and beverage event sounds fun as well.

I like the "Smart Casual and Above" terminology. I guess if only 30% of the pax were complying with the informal it makes it hard to enforce. We loved informal nights, and DS has said he still want to wear his blazer, so it looks like he won't be over dressed if he chooses to wear it. I have one or two dresses that will still be over dressed for smart casual, and not quite as fancy as I like for formal, so I may not bring those dresses.

Glad to also hear that they plan to make formal nights still very special evenings. I love the formal ambiance. I am also glad that they will be keeping 3 on a 14 night cruise. That means three when we take our TA in Novmember. Now I just have to pick which three dresses!!

I noticed that you don't get the third formal night until 14 days. That means that we lose one on the 10-13 day cruises.

12 plus = 3 fomal

Neal,

Maybe you are looking a something differently.

I think the Power Point graph said 12 plus days = 3 formal.

So the 12, 13 + still have the 3

10 and 11 lose one formal.

Garry, thanks for posting the attachments. I have seen some mention of it, but that sets it out very clearly. I am very pleased to see that informal is to be dropped (notwithstanding that I liked wearing a jacket and tie in the Speciality Restaurant as I felt it was more in keeping for that venue).

Without entering into a dress code debate, I read the pdf file a couple of times and it now seems as though the requirement for "throughout the ship" of an evening has now been dropped. Am I reading it right? It looks as though that whilst smart casual and above will be enforced in the dining room and theatre , it will be not be the case elsewhere so you can wear whatever you like in other venues. I have to say that on my recent cruise jeans, t-shirts and baseball caps were de rigour for some on formal night in the Martini Bar and that was a shame in my view and this policy doesn't seem to address it. Not that it was enforced anyway, but that's another subject altogether (!).
