Tastes like chicken, hahahaha..actually I have no idea...eww!

Grand Cayman is awesome...been twice, nope 3 times. Shopping is wonderful (although got my prized 3 carat tanzanite in Jamaica)...My dh's works for "a marine electronics company" and talks frequently with...people there...The island has not fully recovered, but it is getting there.
It was really terrible.
The stingrays were ok, not for wimpy people like me...my son, who was 8 at the time...felt one go by him and jumped on my husbands back similar to the way Sylvester jumps on Elmer Fudd's head! DH had to take him back to the boat,
The last trip there was 2003...we just went shopping and walked to a private beach and snorkled...it was wonderful...we took a left at the end of the peir (most go right) and went to Hamburger beach, I think it was...the people that went to the right went to a different beach and there were alot of jellyfish!

Anyone have a subscription to "Islands" magazine? There was a story in the last issue that Hurricane Ivan actually "cleaned" the reefs and it's more colorful and beautiful than ever...

We were in Grand Cayman while they were preparing for Hurricane Ivan -- we were suppose to go Eastern but Ivan was out there so we went West. A local shop owner was telling us that they would hide in the caves when the storm was there. (I'd want that cave to be in really high ground!!) The next week we had to head East instead of West, because of Ivan, then we had to turn around before we got there because Jeanne was in the East. We couldn't really go to the West as there was so much damage, and as someone said it took a long time before any ship could stop in Grand Cayman. Ended up in Montego Bay (no electric--no excursions) and Nausau. It was a great b2b cruise as we were on the ship for so many days!!! Wonderful!! Except for those hurricanes!!

We are cruising back to the Western for the first time since Ivan next month. Praying we have 2 weeks of no storms!!!
