So, I guess you didn't want to hold and kiss one?

Our guide told us that if a lady visiting the Caymans kissed a Stingray, it would bring her 10 years good luck.
Then he added - "... and if you kiss you guide it's 100 years good luck!"

I would have given it a shot!!!

MTM - I had no idea you were such a wuss!
But, at least you are less wussy than my DH... he won't even get in the water with them!

(Our friend took a picture of me holding and kissing my new stingray friend.)

You think that's wussy....you should have been there last week when I took my 5 year old fishing at the 'Ole Fishing Hole at Disney's Riverside Resort....they handed me a cane pole with a hook and a jar of live worms. My son wouldn't touch the worms....I had to pour a worm out onto the ground, cover it with a towel (didn't want to touch it either) and try to hook it without actually touching it!!! After 2 worms, we were done!

As already stated, it's a tender port so the wind can easily keep you away.

Cayman is an outstanding watersports destination. Stingray City survived Ivan just fine too. I was there on Brilliance in mid-December 2004 (a month after they re-opened). The island DID get the snot kicked out them but they are recovering quite well. My friends on the East End didn't have power for three months. Outside of watersports, it's a great destination for high-end jewelery shopping (Aruba had better prices IMO though).

I liked it enough I'd go back for a week of scuba divng

About the only I thing I "shook my head at" was seeing turtle burgers on the menu where we ate lunch. Eeeeeewwwwwww...... :thumbsdow
