Thread: Captain Marvin's Watersports

Has anyone ever booked a tour through Captain Marvin's? We are doing the 1/2 day trip from 10-1 (snorkeling at a couple of different places and swimming with the Stingrays). We are supposed to be in GC from 8-3, so I'm hoping we have no trouble getting back to the ship in time!? One of the couples that is doing this with us took a trip with them 9 or 10 years ago and said it was great. Anyone been on a trip with them more recently??

Jen .... Not too much help from me since ours was a while back as well.

It was fine but we enjoyed the ones we have been on using catamarans more. Also, the day we went Capt. Marvin's had overbooked so it was quite crowded (had to use two boats) ... and our anchor location was not very good. Probably were just there on a bad day. These thing happen.

The Stingray Excursion we enjoyed the most was actually offered by the ship -- Cockatoo Catamaran which was quite roomy and had an excellent anchor location.

We've used Captain Marvin's twice, and wouldn't hesitate to book again. Very professional company. Even if they overbook, you looking at no more than15 to 20 folks per boat. Better than some of the cattle calls I've seen from the cruise ships.

Thanks to both of you! I'm sure since I have nothing to compare it to, it will be fine. There are 8 of us going so it looks like we might have half of the boat! Cool! I just wanted to make sure that nobody had a horrible experience with them or anything. Now I just need to get brave about swimming with the Ray's!!
