Thread: Grand Caymans

My best ever experience in the Caribbean (other than our honeymoon in Jamaica) was swimming with the stingrays at Stingray City in Grand Caymans. What a totally awesome experience!!!

I love Grand Cayman, and missed it last year after the hurricanes!! Hope I get to go this year. We are going western again!!

Sue, if you get a chance, go back to chester's website and check out the video he made of his two sons on formal night...it's really cute, it's called Men in Black.....he's very good at making home videos..

There was still quite a bit of damage in GC but seeing it made you appreciate the force of the storm. Light poles bent over fences...it was terrible. But basically the island is very beautiful. Can't wait to go back myself!!

That is one reason I booked it again, besides it being the Star!! I want to go back!!

The shopping in Cayman is also very good

We walk up to the business center, a couple of streets up, and go to the convenience store!! We get a soda, and a local paper!! There is a little park there with benches, and we just sit and people watch.!!

Oh I love to people watch....we did only a tiny bit of shopping in Grand Cayman...we did stumble across a little courtyard where there were huge iguanas and a bunch of different parrots...Wayne got bit pretty bad by a Cockatoo (I told him to watch out, but he didn't listen)!!!!

Wayne is too big to watch out!! Did you ever really notice the size of him???? :headbang2
