I loved snorkeling with the stingrays in GC but to be perfectly honest, I didn't like them touching me. I sound like a wimp but I have a serious fear of snakes and to me that's what they felt like when they bumped up against me. While everyone else was feeding them (DH included) I just snorkeled out and around with them. I also wanted to see the turtle farm but we ran out of time.

I am going to snorkel with the rays twice more this year...

September and December.

Each time, I get to introduce someone new to the joys of the rays! YIPPEE!!

In September, DB and his new lady are going with me, and in December, it will be one of the granddaughters, amd maybe her Mom and brother (maybe).

Canary, I'm jealous...........not of the rays but of the two cruises. I don't have anything booked right now

Actually, I have three booked...

A 4 and 5 day on the Sovereign, and 7 days (Southern Caribbean) on the Serenade.
You won't be jealous when I tell you this: I still have not paid them all off!

I'm still jealous Canary and on top of that DH wants to take a break from cruising for the rest of the year! We've been on 4 in the last eighteen months, which I thought was just fine

We sailed by and waved on Explorer of the Seas last March. They said it was to rough for the tenders. My son's 17ft craft could handle the Chesapeake Bay in much rougher weather than what I saw that day. Is there a problem with the docks at Grand Cayman? I have heard of others who have been forced to pass this island on not so rough water.

Bob, they looked fine to me, not like there would be a problem getting to them or anything. Maybe due to the liability of the tenders in rough water, they shut it down pretty quick

I only know it is much harder to dock or tender in the spring. No problems in the fall to port or tender!!

Why is that, Sue?
