Cemetery Beach and other shore snorkeling locations:
Grand Cayman snorkeling guide, Cayman Islands

Not all have facilities, so you may have to carry whatever you will need.

Here is the grandfather of all stupid questions....lol

Can you take your own snorkling equipment? I would rather buy fins, mask and air tube, pack them instead of renting them everywhere we go. (If they reuse them, I hope they get cleaned good!!!)

We are going on our first cruise in November and thses things are good to know...Besides, I can use the mask, fins and airtube in our pool in the summer!!! : )

I do. Never a problem.

Assuming your pool is fresh water you will find it much easier to float and snorkel in salt water.

We walked to cheeseburger reef...take a left when you leave the pier and it is right afte Burger King...really! We were there pretty early...had our own gear, no facilities....by late morning the cruise excursions were arriving and we were done! It was great!...not very beachy, but quite rocky...

Thanks, Dolores- I think Seth wants to see the turtles- so we'll do that at least, and then maybe I can get to one of the shore reefs and snorkel some.

I just have to convince the others that they WANT to snorkel too! LOL! To say my DH doesn't care for it is downplaying it a whole bunch!

If you are going to the turtle farm, you can snorkel Turtle Reef which is very close.

A couple of spots you can snorkel from:

I haven't tried from this one (yet)
{Bring your own gear} and snorkel before lunch:
macabuca
