We like to go to Seven Mile Beach and enjoy a relaxing day on a beautiful beach. So, we take public transportation ($2.50 per person each way - taxis are alot more) out to Calico Jack's where they have good food and cold beer. In fact, we found their prices for beer better than just about everywhere else we've been to.
There's also a restaurant near the downtown area that a friend of mine who lives there recommended to us and it was very good. It's on the water, but I can't remember the name (I suffer from CRS!). As you get off the tenders, make a right and follow the water around for about two blocks. There's a scuba diving store next to it.

I think you are talking about Paradise Bar & Grill. Great setting overlooking the ships anchored.

Thank you, PE and Zy!
I am going to try to remember to do exactly that next time I go to Grand Cayman.
DH doesn't swim, and doesn't particularly care to get off the ship... but if there were FOOD and snorkeling involved, there would be something for both of us!
While not haute cuisine, we enjoyed our burgers and drinks at Margaritaville. $40 for two burgers, one alcoholic drink and one soda.
