Thank you. I'm also currently scheduled for a return visit to Grand Cayman next September (and November!).

WOW! Great underwater pictures, Zy! What kind of camera were you using? We love to snorkel and will be cruising in March to the Panama Canal w/ snorkeling excursions scheduled. We also have a timeshare on the East End of Grand Cayman where we can snorkel from the beach. Would love a camera that takes pics like yours!

Thank you.

I primarily use a discontinued Canon S1 IS with the optional Canon underwater housing. My backup camera is an even more obsolete Canon s230 and I also have the Canon waterproof housing for it. I usually use Photoshop Elements to correct the color on the underwater shots.

Note: Canon doesn't have a waterproof case for the current model - S3 IS. They can be had, but cost more than the camera.

I have been eyeballing the Canon A710 IS on the internet and think there is a Canon waterproof case available, but haven't actually tried out.

A number of other manufacturers also offer some - like Nikon and Olympus.

I really like it, EXCEPT, Canon never came out with waterproof cases for the S2 or the S3. You can get a case for the S3, but it costs more that the camera.

Now I'm thinking of getting a a710 IS for grins.

Thanks Zy! Loved your pictures!

Eden Rock is a favorite of ours! So easy and so very close to the tender dock! Great place to go after an excursion to take full advantage of a bit of extra snorkeling time.

Again ... thanks so much for the photos that bring back fond memories!

You're welcome. Next time I think I will check out Cemetery Reef and if there is time, snorkeling from the backyard of Sunset House. About a mile south of the tender area and supposed to be nice.
