Smile Southern carribean -Victory question

I am looking at Victory for September 2010 out of San juan, looking for a 9A cabin , has anyone sailed this itinerary before?
we sailed the legend this past year, it was o.k.nothing spectacular, also did Royal Caribbean 2 years ago and that was fantastic but much more expensive. any help and pic's would be wonderful!!!

Hey grandmallie! Welcome to our friendly cruise community!

I have moved your post here to where folks who sail on Carnival will see it and, hopefully, be able to give you the information you are seekiing.

I have not gone on the Valor but I have done this itinerary and have sailed out of San Juan. I liked sailing out of San Juan. I went a few days early and had a great - very reasonable - hotel and went out and had local food, El Yunque Rain Forest, the fort. Just a great place in my opinion.

I need to clarify that I did it on Royal Caribbean but I just went on an old Carnival ship - Triumph - and I was impressed with some of Carnival. I make no bones about it that I think their food is very good in the main dining room.

We did this itinerary in May. It is a great itinerary but very tiring. We had aft wrap 6461...you will love having a aft wrap...they are awesome. Here are some pictures of the cabin and balcony. I'd suggest flying in to San Juan a day or two early...less stressful. We flew in the day before and stayed at the Old San Juan Sheraton...it's right across from where the ship docks.

The islands are all beautiful.

I've done all of the ports recently except St Kitts, which I've been to in the 1960s. This is a very port intensive itinerary, so plan some of your shore excursions for the afternoon if you can. It can be tiring if you plan everything for early morning. I'd say it's a very good itinerary and I'd love to do it sometime.

In St. Kitts the excursion we have always enjoyed and have taken several times is the Sailaway to Nevis.

Our report is here on CLF in the Cruise Places section under St.Kitts.
