I cruised in December from Galveston, to Cozumel, Costa Maya and Key West. The only port that wasn't warm enough for me (I put on a sweater whenit drops below 75) was Galveston on the way out. It was gloomy and wet - but since the Dickens' festival was going on, the weather was appropriate!!!

It was 93 degrees in the shade the day we were in Grand Cayman.
In Cozumel and Costa Maya and Belize I would say it was about 83 .. definately WARM enough !

And off topic we had phone service in everyone of the ports....:mobile_ph

The Valor is a very nice ship, but not what is referred to as a "high energy" ship. By that I mean there are no late night live reggae, soca music on the Lido Deck on Western Carib. cruises as we had on the Carnival Destiny, which sails the South. Carib. voyages. Your partying will have to be in the One Small Step Disco at night. On our fun days at sea, the live band played in the day, but I didn't think this group could be compared with Cool Runnings, the group which was on board the Destiny. They were awesome. If you have read any negative reviews of the Valor as I did before I sailed her in May 2005, Please disregard them. The weather was not too warm at night, but in the low 80"s during the day.
