    Carnival Triumph Reviews

There's an interesting thread over on Princess Cruise Line about cruise reviews and how some folks let a few bad experiences spoil their whole cruise. Maybe that's why more people don't write reviews. We're cruising the Western Caribbean on Triumph in May and were hoping some of you folks might be willing to write a review or two so we can get a feel for things before we go. How about it. Any Triumph cruisers out there. Let us know what to expect. We know we'll have a good time but give us the low down. Only 99 days to go!

so i know whats good, bad and what to put in a review. we are going eastern so that won't help you with the ports. i have read a few bad reviews on triumph on CC but

I wrote a review on the other website in Nov. I was on the 1st triumph cruise after it's drydock. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would go on the triumph again. There were a few little glitches which a few people over reacted to. Most of the glitches were due the ship not being 100% ready to get out of dry dock. I am sure those few issues have long since been fixed. The only issue which you may still have to deal with is the terrible tendering system in Cozumel. Don't know what the problem is but people are still complaining of having to stand on the pier for more than an hour waiting for the tender. Cozumel should be in alot better shape now than it was in Nov. Ours was the 1st ship to go there since Wilma. Most of the tours / beach clubs are fully operational. The Mexicans are busting @ss to get Cozumel back to pre storm condition. The ship itself is fine, nice big rooms, most of them have new carpeting. The CD is good, the food is pretty good and all over the place. Most of the staff members were easy to deal with and the entertainment was about average for a cruise. If you have any specific questions, ask away.

We're going on the Triumph on April 8, so I will be happy to add my 2 cents when we get back(that's all I will have left after a week at the casino).

Thanks for this thread and to anyone who writes a review. I recently booked Triumph for Jan 07, so of course I'm anxious to read anything I can get my hands on regarding this ship.

The wife and I just got back tonight from our seven day cruise on the triumph.
We had a great time, We took the Two teens with us. First time cruise for the kids.
Lets see ......Boarding the triumph was easy , long lines but things moved quickly.
Ship and crew were outstanding, smiles and willing to go out of there way too help.
Food ???? How do we say very tasty, the buffet had long lines, but on a seven day cruise no one was in a hurry. Most of the buffet food you had many choices.
Roast, ham , chicken, fish. As always pizza and ice cream 24/7.
We had a room on the Main deck. level 2. A nice room with a view. The room was keep clean by the room stewart, and clean staff. outstanding job.
We had 3 ports, cozumal grand cayman and jamica.
cozumal and Grand cayman, great time site seeing. Friendly people. Great shopping, lots of free stuff from many of the stores.
Jamica ..... well that was another story. We were in port shopping for an hour before out Dunns river falls climb. We was unable to enjoy what little time we had with all the natives asking to buy there goods, or asking you if you needed a taxi
and trying to take you on a better tour then the ship could offer and cheaper.
Lets just say every 20 steps we were being bothered.
Please don't me wrong Jamica is very pretty and has many great deals. We just wished we could of enjoyed the island a little more..

Long lines at the buffet is really normal, 'cause remember... is about 2,900 or 3,000 pax travelling with you. The most important thing is to enjoy that 7 days! Smile & have a memorable time there that you never forget...
Enjoy the Life! God Bless you...
