    Triumph 3-01-10

This is my 8th cruise on CCL leaving out of NOLA 3/1/10 with my wife and group of friends. This is my first time sailing on Triumph just wondering about the special little places on-board that are tucked away like the fish-n-chips place on glory that I never was able to find.

We will be in NOLA for 2 nights any suggestions on things to do, besides bourbon street, is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    RDH

I would suggest printing out the deck plans from carnivals web site. Ithelped me find the sushi and pizza. The only thing out of the way that I remember was the 24 hour ice cream machine which was near the pool in the back of the ship.

I am going to NO in 3 weeks. I found an office of tourism on line, ordered their free guide book. The book is helpful in things to do, restaurants, etc.

back from NOLA 3-1-10 trip on triumph

Well I had a blast in NOLA for the weekend before the cruise, I enjoyed the ports in Mexica, Progresso, and Cozumel (been to both ports several times), but the triumph was a disappointment. This is the first carnival ship that I was not pleased with. This ship has a major restoration 2008 but you couldn't tell it many of the public places were in need of maintainance, our balcany room was worn and the balcony was dirty. The food was not the best I've had on carnaval seems like they are cheapening the food offerings down because of the economy and so they can fill their ships at a cheaper fare, me personally I would pay the extra amount for the better food service. I went on the fantasy out of NOLA on the same exact itenerary and fantasy was 10 times the fun of truimph.

I did not see chocolate melting cake 1 time at dinner on the lido deck, on the fantasy they had it on the buffet every night. I was very disappointed with the ship and service I recieved on triumph and out of 8 cruises with carnival this is the first.
