I have a question pertaining to the the Carnival Spirit Itinerary schedule 2012 - it ends in September, and obviously the ship will sail from Australia, but when and to where? Anybody to share some inwith me?

I think that is as far out as Carnival has it's schedule right now.
If it is going to Australia, I suspect it will do some circum-Australia cruises and probably some between Australia and New Zealand. Carnival does not have any ships down there right now, so it is still a big unknown.
Actually, it will finish it's Alaska season early in September. It will then sail from Vancouver to Hawaii. On September 30th it sails from Hawaii to Australia.
I assume it will spend the winter in Australia.
Carnival needs to do some updating on their website, It does not even show Australia as a destination yet.

Well, technically they have the South Pacific, Tahiti, as a destination but nothing past that point. There does not seem to be any Carnival ships going to Australia yet. John, wasn't there something in CruiseNews about Carnival going to Australia recently?
Jumping in here, Merry Christmas to all.
Actually, I know a lot of friends on forum I post on who are booked from Australia. Currently you can only book the Spirit from Australia thru Carnival au site, not carnival.com
Tips are included, and prices are probably higher than you expect. Maybe because of including tips, thats why you have to book it thru carnival au, not the regular carnival.com out of miami?
Cruises on Spirit are open for booking. Here is one I picked at random.

Great information. It is interesting that this information is available to the Australians but not to us. Interestingly, it looks like Carnival AU is operating as a separate arm of the Carnival umbrella with listings for Cunard, P&O and Princess - but not for Carnival proper.
On January 12th of 2011, Carnival announce that the Spirit would be moved to Australia year round. As things work in the cruise industry it takes time for a ship to work through it current bookings before such a change takes place.
It looks like they will be doing all the booking though their AU site. It looks like they have essentially set up a separate Australian division.
