Sprit obstructed view balconies deck 5. photos?

Does anyone have pictures of the Obstructed View Balcony cabins on deck 5 (Cat. 7A)

    How obstructed are they?

Is it just the view looking down or are those lifeboats in your face?

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Thanks Sue, that is about what I was thinking. It looks like it varies by cabin and that one had a open spot between boats. The difference between that category and the next one up is about 25%.

At this point I am debating between taking the Sprit to Alaska in September or the Splendor to Mexico in January.

IMHO, they are the best value. Make sure and do the aft lifenoat section rather than forward. The forward 3 lifeboats are tenders and have the higher bubble tops.
The attached is a more obstructed cabin 5160.

Thanks Reggie, I thought that was the case from the exterior pictures.
Unfortunatly at this point the only cabins that are available are next to the front 2 boats on each side.

It is possible that they are being held by t/a's and will open up later.

What you can do is book one of those cabins now to hold the price and just keep checking as we get closer. Or you can let me do that for you as I can see all available cabins in the agent website.

At this point I am still deciding on what we are going to do. I have 25% off coming from our Splendor cancellation and am looking at a couple things. I am looking at Spirit in September and the Splendor in January.

I plan on cruising during both of those time frames so I am also looking at the options on other lines during those periods. Since we are sailing on HAL in a couple weeks, I will be deciding if they will be in considered for one of them. With the wave season coming up soon, I will also be looking at what else is being offered at those times. Once I make those considerations I will need to request the time off at work before I can make the Carnival booking. (I suspect the once I use the discount I will not be able to change the date.)

If I'm not mistaken, you have to send in the FCC to Carnival to have it applied.
You may be able to change it after sending it in so I would hold off till you are sure.
You can make the booking and hold your cabin, just don't send in the certificate till just before final payment.

They actually did not issue a certificate. They gave us a webpage to submit our original booking number and sail date and have it credited to the new sailing. I will probably make some sort of decision when I return from my Oosterdam sailing. I ended up with a SS on that one.
