Yes I did link all of the reservations. That assured that they would be seated together. To actually place people at specific tables, requires the restaurant
    manager visit.

I'll have to check out the menus. I do appreciate a good steak, but can't see having to spend a bunch extra to get one.

I've never cruised yet, but I am trying to plan my first cruise to be perfect!

Originally Carly and I booked "Anytime" dining as Princess has that for one of their options. But after reading many reviews it didn't sound so good anymore. Apparently you still need to make reservations or you wait in line.

Many people suggested the late dining option, so that you had time to leisurely dress for dinner after a full day in port. So that is the option we went with. I hope it was a good choice.

From what you said Tracy, l think you made the best decision. I hate both times, one is way to early and the other is too late. Just don't go right to bed after dinner, and it might spoil you pigging out and the Chocolate Buffet, but otherwise its the best of the two evils for most of us!

Did you guys know that Escargot was on the Alternative menu on the Mercury! Dru was in Snail Heaven!

I completely agree with you. I hate both times as well. In a perfect world, I'd have a 7pm seating.

The good thing about it is that you can still do anytime dining if you want.
And, you will always have your assigned dining available.
Be kind, advise your waiter and tablemates if you don't plan on having dinner
at the assigned time. It will keep them from waiting for you.

BTW, you're gonna love the Sapphire Princess.

Thanks Reggie, wish I could join the late seating but hope they will be plenty wanting early too

What is the chocolate buffet that was mentioned, and when is it served? I'm such a sucker for chocolate dipped fruit!
